The Lord Jesus has chosen us as instruments in bring- ing Mis work to completion. On these pages we have attempted to show His plan in action. Our appreciation is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Olson for their help in photography; to The Friendship Press for their permission to use MAP OF Tilt WORLD: to the American Yearbook Company for their splendid co-operation and assistance in pro- ducing this book; to Miss Jean Long for her art con- tribution; and, most of all, to Miss Kathryn E. Mc- Clarty, our advisor. Obtainable from The Friendship Press, New York, N. Y., (® $2. IN MEMORIAM EAKIN McAULEY Former member of the class of 1958 May 17, 1935 - November 19, 1956 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Mr. HENRY THOMPSON PATTERSON First chairman of the Board of Trustees, 1923 to 1955. Chairman Emeritus since May 1955. March 6, 1876 - December 14, 1956. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. His work is honorable and glofious. We know two who have found it so - Miss Mabel Briggs and Miss Pamela Moore. Before most of us were bom, Miss Moore was busy in His service pray- ing C.B.C. into existence. As the school was formed she became one of its first board members, and at the same time was one of its first students. During a trip to Palestine her friendship with Miss Briggs, a traveling companion, deepened, and soon afterward Miss Briggs moved to Columbia, where she held neighborhood Bible classes under the auspices of the Bible College. She became a member of the extension staff. Many years have passed, but they are still active in accomplishing His task. Miss Moore drives over three hundred miles weekly taking the Gospel to eighteen classes in five schools. Miss Briggs reaches more than one hundred adults in her seven classes each week. Daily these two meet in intercession. Prayer letters and telephone calls by the dozens are received by them. They long ago learned to forget them- selves and to have hearts burning for the entire world. Dear Seniors: As you come to the completion of your Bible College course I want to give you this brief word of fellowship as an expression of the bond of love which has been created between us during your student days. The word that comes to me with very special meaning just now is the phrase of Gal. 4:19, until Christ be formed in you. This has been our common purpose for these years just completed, and now we rejoice in all that we have seen of the Lord in you during these years. It is seeing Him in one another that gives Christian fellowship its real character and meaning, and has been the reason for the blessing you have been to me and to others of us at C.B.C. It is seeing Him in you throughout coming years that will be the means of bringing His life and blessing to many throughout the world. Always yours in Him, U£o 2 L G. Ik , THE STAUFFACHER FAMILY AND CAROLYN BASS TOCCOA FMF CONFERENCE SPEAKERS FOREIGN MISSIONS The objective of FMF is that every student be actively and consciously helping to make Christ known every- where. This will be accomplished as each student engages in aggressive intercession, deliberate sacrificial giving, and present fulfillment of the great commission. Our goal is to make disciples in every language group. One channel in which we are carrying out our objective is the FMF Project. This year we have chosen to help establish a Young People ' s Christian Holiday Centre and Bible School in Germany, a branch of the work of Major W. Ian Thomas in England. The purpose of this work is to bring together young Germans in a vacation centre, where they may see Christianity being put into practice and may themselves become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
