Carpe Diem Club The Carpe Diem, or the girls' dormitory club of Columbia, has been organized to promote good fellowship, friendship, culture, and refinement among the girls. Each Tuesday evening, following devotional services, the club is called to order by the president. First, business is discussed, plans for social affairs submitted, and then, an interesting program or entertainment completes the hour. Some of the club's out-door activities will long be remembered,-especially the treasure hunt, where, at the end of the trail, we were rewarded with refreshments and a marshmallow roast. One of the most important activities of this year was the Carpe Diem program presented to the village. The money obtained was used to improve the girls' parlor. Put your talents in a suit case, come join us, and enjoy the good times We are planning for next year. BETTY HUBBARD. -G++ Amicitia Club Every student of the boys' dormitory is a member of the Amicitia club. The president and his staff plan a program for every Tuesday evening. Among its many activities is the entertaining of the Carpe Diem Club, waffle feeds, and early morning breakfasts. Each evening after supper the boys put aside the cares of the day and gather in the parlor for worship. Here under the guidance of Mr. Hempel, the preceptor, they turn their thoughts to higher idealsg for the greatest purpose of dormitory life is to strengthen the Christian character of the young men who are soon to become leaders at home and in the mission Fields. You really should plan to be here next year and enjoy the Christian fellowship and good times while obtaining your education. JOHN DILLON. GR ADE SCHOOL
