DEDICATION On this the year of his retirement, the class of 1972 is proud to express its appreciation for Mr. Corbitt’s faithful guidance and devoted loyalty through the years. For 35 years he has molded and shaped the character of C.P.C.S. students. Besides serving as principal, he has served in the capacities of teacher, coach and guidance counselor. His service to the school will be long remembered; therefore, on the behalf ofeveryone in the school, we thank him.

Mr. Corbitt I feel a special bond with the Class 1972 because, for both of us, this year marks a milestone in our careers. For you, it is a commencement; for me, a conclusion. As we look back over the good times and the bad that we have spent within these walls and in this community , we are filled with nostalgia. But let us not live in memories. Rather, let us strive to accomplish all that we possibly can. Let us look to the future and reach, not for glory, but for goodness. Let us seek to live productive and worthwhile lives, forever aware of the fact that we owe a great deal to our fellow man. Let us not comprise our principles for fame and material wealth, but work ceaselessly and unselfishly to live in love and peace with others. In our strivings, however, let us not become discouraged for, in the words of Albert Schweitzer; No ray of sunlight is ever lost But the green which it works . . . Needs time to sprout, and it is not Always granted to the sower to live To see the harvest. All work that Is worth anything is done in faith. 6
