History In September 1959, thirty-six of us, as Freshman, entered C. P. C. S. At last we were in high school 1 Our first important event of the year was election of class officers. Elected were: President; Judith Tucker, Vice-President; James Cayey, Secretary; Lor- raine Dunning and Treasurer; Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Laura Selleck and Ronald Morrow. We chose Mrs. Champney as our class advisor. Our main activity was a Minstrel Show. During the year we lost Elaine Regan, Dale Despaw, Bar- bara Ayers, Thomas Perry and Barbara Coller. We started our Sophomore year with thirty students. Again we chose Mrs. Champ- ney as our class advisor. We elected James Cayey; President, Larry Clark; Vice-Presi- dent, Secretary; Laura Selleck, Treasurer; Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and Ronald Morrow. Our biggest event during the year was a Hal- loween Dance and raffle. We also ordered our class pins. During the year we lost Velva Colvin, Colleen Jones, Ruby Murray, Nancy Silver, Jerry McCarthy, Joseph Carrow and Eldon Bullis. In the fall of 1961 we entered our Junior year with twenty-four students. During the year we gained and lost a few students. We selected Miss Nolan as our class advisor; President, James Cayey; Vice-President, Ronald Morrow; Secretary, Lorraine Dunning; Treasurer, Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and Robert Dunning. Our first important event was selecting our class ring. We presented a play, Saved By the Belle and sold Christmas Cards as money-making projects. Toward the closing of the year we spent the majority of our time working on the Junior Prom. Upon entering our Senior year our class had twenty-three students. We selected Mr. Cleveland as our class advisor and Mr. Wilson as our yearbook advisor. Class officers were Ronald Morrow, President; James Cayey, Vice-President; Sandra Remington, Secre- tary; and Marlyne Bullock, Treasurer. After we lost Marlyne Bullock we chose Craig Perkins as Treasurer for the remainder of the year. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and William Ford. Our main activities were sales of magazines and candy, dances, our yearbook and our New York trip. We, the Senior Class of 1963, forward the best years of our lives and wonderful memories of Colton High School to all future classes. 24
