Dedication 1963 MRS. ELLA CORCORAN i I'm sure you all know someone who stands out in your memory as a hard worker. The one who is always doing his own work and most of everyone elses. The one who never complains about hard work, who toils and slaves and actually enjoys it. We all feel I am sure that these people should have some recognition for their unending ser- I vice. It is for this reason that we, the Senior Class of Colton-Pierrepont, dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Ella Corcoran for her perpetual loyalty, friendliness, and aid to all around her. Senior Class of '63 Colton-Pierrepont Central Colton, New York Dear Gentlemen: We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and sixty-three, wish to take this oppor- tunity to thank the Board of Education for their help, appreciation, and guidance giv- en us through our high school years. Sincerely yours, Senior Class of '63 It has been your privilege to be the first class to spend your entire school life in this fine school building. You have had every opportunity to secure an education equal to the best. Some of you have taken advantage of this opportunity, a few of you haven’t. It is my hope that those of you who have done your best will continue to do the same in the future and that the others will make up for lost time in whatever occupation you pursue. You all have the potential to do this. Go forward with God's blessing and make your Alma Mater proud of you. P. C. S. At last we were in high school 1 Our first important event of the year was election of class officers. Elected were: President; Judith Tucker, Vice-President; James Cayey, Secretary; Lor- raine Dunning and Treasurer; Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Laura Selleck and Ronald Morrow. We chose Mrs. Champney as our class advisor. Our main activity was a Minstrel Show. During the year we lost Elaine Regan, Dale Despaw, Bar- bara Ayers, Thomas Perry and Barbara Coller. We started our Sophomore year with thirty students. Again we chose Mrs. Champ- ney as our class advisor. We elected James Cayey; President, Larry Clark; Vice-Presi- dent, Secretary; Laura Selleck, Treasurer; Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and Ronald Morrow. Our biggest event during the year was a Hal- loween Dance and raffle. We also ordered our class pins. During the year we lost Velva Colvin, Colleen Jones, Ruby Murray, Nancy Silver, Jerry McCarthy, Joseph Carrow and Eldon Bullis. In the fall of 1961 we entered our Junior year with twenty-four students. During the year we gained and lost a few students. We selected Miss Nolan as our class advisor; President, James Cayey; Vice-President, Ronald Morrow; Secretary, Lorraine Dunning; Treasurer, Marlyne Bullock. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and Robert Dunning. Our first important event was selecting our class ring. We presented a play, Saved By the Belle and sold Christmas Cards as money-making projects. Toward the closing of the year we spent the majority of our time working on the Junior Prom. Upon entering our Senior year our class had twenty-three students. We selected Mr. Cleveland as our class advisor and Mr. Wilson as our yearbook advisor. Class officers were Ronald Morrow, President; James Cayey, Vice-President; Sandra Remington, Secre- tary; and Marlyne Bullock, Treasurer. After we lost Marlyne Bullock we chose Craig Perkins as Treasurer for the remainder of the year. Student Council members were Judith Tucker and William Ford. Our main activities were sales of magazines and candy, dances, our yearbook and our New York trip. We, the Senior Class of 1963, forward the best years of our lives and wonderful memories of Colton High School to all future classes. 24 Senior Class Will We the Senior Class of nineteen-hundred and sixty-three, of the Colton Pierre - pont Central School, being of a reasonably sound mind, do hereby make and acknowledge this, our last will and testament. The nurses, Alice Buckley, Elva Clark, Colleen Houston, and Lorraine Dunning are being initiated to the Angels on Skis Patrol by nurse Judith Tucker, Olympic gold medal winner in the downhill. Since the fame of this winter paradise has increased, so also has the number of adventuresome novice skiers. Due to the many mishaps of our guests, our own ski patrol fills most of the infirmary themselves. Therefore, our brave nurses have volunteered to fill in for the bedridden patrol. Chalet '63, built as a monument to the metropolis of Colton, is located high in the peaks of the snowy Adirondack Mountains. It was erected by the William Ford Construc- tion Company, designed by the prominent architect Craig Perkins, engineered by the renowned Ronald Morrow, and landscaped by the man who did Queen Elizabeth's gar- dens, Kermit Weston. The excellent condition of our ski chair lifts and bus line's is due to the meticulous control of the mechanics crew as executed by Robert Dunning. All our guests keep up their good appearances by visiting the salons of our Paris- educated beauticians, Sharon McMurtry and Gloria Gleason. The masculine vanities are soothed by the capable and careful hands of barber Roger Murray. A world shaking ping-pong tournament is being overseen by frazzled recreation directors, Ellen Hepburn and James Cayey. Among the contestants who started this game to soothe their nerves, but now find themselves taking tranquilizers to overcome the effects of their soothed nerves, are Harvard English professor, Sandra Remington and Botany 499 model, Lowell Gotham. In a nearby corner, chesspert John L. Dollin- ger quietly and deftly cops the world Chessman's Association Championship. Speaking over his own patented two-way radio, which can be concealed in a hair pin or a tie clip, we discover communications administrator John Watson, conversing with naturalist Laura Selleck. Miss Selleck is accompanying an expedition on conser- vation experts to the top of Mount Colton for the purpose of tagging wild cats and bears. Chalet ’63 has been slated as the location for a highly secretive meeting of top military executives. We catch a glimpse of the guest of honor, General L. Clark, who, having recently returned from an extended mission in Cuba, is accompanied by his cap- able translator, Eileen Miller and personal secretary, Marlyne Bullock. Even as the slopes of Mount Colton fade into the dreams of tomorrow, even now do the actors set the stage for this performance.
