CAROL JANE MURRAY Class prophet Carol--the prettiest girl in the Senior class: four years in chorus, band and on the Racquetteerg tops in speech, as a Senior the school winner in the Legion Oratorical Contest, the Sophomore Queen of l-Ieartsg Junior Prom Princess, and co-chairman of Prom, ingenue lead in the Senior playg Freshman letter in cheerleading, Student Council, and her last three years class Secre- tary and four years an honor student, She's an example of beauty plus! THOMAS LLOYD SILVER Associate Business Editor Tom came to our class in his Junior year from Massena. That year he played softball and soccer as a Senior, the same year he joined the Racquetteer staff. He also consistently studied Math and Science and made honors! MARGO ISABEL FERRY Art Editor Margo one of the happy quartet, made Gym Club her Sophomore year, and as a Senior joined the Racquetteer staff, danced in Dance Club, and played one of the sirens in Scootin' Grandma, Living at Sevey, Margo holds an unofficial record for the most miles traveled to school! WILLIAM STEPHEN OLMSTED Business Manager Steve, a four year top honor student, played basketball and baseball for four years. Frosh and Soph years, he made the track team, Junior, softballg and Senior, soccer. Class president every year but his second he was Junior Prom King, on the Racquetteer staff his last two years, and as a Senior joined Dance Club, and played a suave Romeo in the Senior play. He's truly a good student and a good athlete in all ways!

SYLVIA JEAN FISHER Editor-in-chief Always busy, always cheerful, she made a new record with four years of band, chorus, cheerleading, and Racquetteer staff. Trusted by her class, she was Student Council member her last three years, and its President, as a Senior. Chairman of the Junior Jamboreeg in Dance Clubg Junior and Senior year in the Legion Speech contest, Lead in Scootin' Grandma , that's Sylvia, an honor student throughout! RONALD JAMES SMITH Associate Photography Editor Quiet, courteous, loyal Ron entered as a Freshman officer, on the Student Council, and went on making the honor roll for four years of study, Ron did not go out for chairmanships, but he gave consistent able help on all the class projects! A consistent honor student! Activity Editor The Seniors know her as Dot , the tiniest girl in the class, but a voice of song for four years in Chorus! A Sophomore, she joined Gym Club, and as a Senior she belonged to Dance Club and the newspaper staff. To top it off, she was one of the trio in the 1959 Senior play, but contrary to the play, where she sought a beau, in real life, it's vice-versa for Dottie! VERNON KELSEY WESTON Associate Editor-in-Chief track his first two years, he substituted softball for track as a Junior, Q-,,, ff joined the Racquetteer, and finished the year as the Prom Prince! A ' Senior, he went out for soccer and basketball, stayed on the Racquetteer, and starred in the American Legion Oratorical--second p1ace-- and in the Senior Play, as a shy lover! And ----- four years an honor student! DOROTHY MAE FISHER A firm sports enthusiast, Vernon went out for baseball, basketball, and X

ELAINE ALICE MATTHEWS Photography Editor Red-headed, curly-headed laughing---Elaine sang four years in Chorus, and from her Soph, year, when she also joined Gym Club, worked on the Racquetteer Staff, Class officer? Oh, yes! Soph Vice-president, and due to her efficient effort, Junior and Senior Class Treasurer! A Senior, she joined the Dance Club, and in the Senior Play shone as a fun-loving Policeman, As to honors, she made them every year! JAMES JOSEPH GRAVLIN Senior Class Editor James, called Jim by his friends, was Sophomore Student Council member, on the Racquetteer staff as a Junior and Editor-in-Chief as a Senior, and vice president of the Senior class. He was also the top- flight free-lance artist and printer, XL JEAN MARIE JOHNSON Associate Advertising Editor Calm Jean, who always furnished an attentive ear, a sweet smile and a helping hand, joined Gym Club as a Sophomore, was chairman of the Junior Food Sale, and as a Senior, joined the Racquetteer staff and Dance Club. And still in fun, she made one of the trio of girls in search of a beau in the hilarious Senior Play, Too, she was always on time! VRANOUS FRANCIS JONES Class Lawyer A I M .. Nicknamed Casey , Vranous wrote the script for the Junior Jamboree, I played the villian in the Senior Play, and as a Senior joined the Dance Club. With Margo, Vranous shared the unrewarded contest for the most miles traveled a day to come to school, Also the Racquetteer and Yearbook will remember him as a forever competent typist. Vranous can be identified by side burns and a mercurial grin! 'te
