CLASS HISTORY Pour years to remember. Yes, we the class of 'f 2 consider these past four years of high school something to remember. e have only a short time remaining before we must go out to seek some sort of positions for ourselves; therefore, let us take a few minutes to go back to review the history of our class. Beginning in 19 8, we entered our freshman class with an enrollment of fifteen. Starting the year out by election of officers, Joseph Thomas was elected president; Gary Hurley, vice president; Mary Fisher, secretary-treasurer; and Miss Jean Henry, class advisor. Representatives for student council were Patricia Cayey and Lloyd Strobeck. Back to school in the fall of 19il9 we then had fourteen members, having lost Lyle Crary and Roger Alexander. Eliabeth Corcoran and Jack Creighton joined our class as new members. That year we elected class officers, Gary Hurley, president; Mary Fisher, vice president; Pat O'Donnell, secretary-treasurer; and Mr. Butler, class advisor. Student council members were Bernice Ghea and William Schwartz. During our sophomore year we gave the annual Halloween party, which was our first activity to start building up our class treasury. Commencing our junior year at high school in the fall of 19$0 we were a class of thirteen. Joyce Mosher left us during summer vacation. Class officers were these: president, Gary Hurley; vice president, William Schwartz; secretary, Pat O'Donnell treasurer, Bernice hea; and class advisor, Mr. Butler. Student council representatives were Mary Fisher and Jack Creighton. Durning the first part of this year we ordered our class rings; later on we sold Christmas cards, presented a three act play, Times Up , and at the end of the year we gave the Junior Prom having chosen Joseph Thomas and Bernice hea as King and Queen. Alas, our senior year, “e had omly twelve left in our class as Mary Fisher did not return from summer vacation, and Patricia Cayey left us in the fall. e elected as president, Lloyd Strobeck; vice president, Gary Hurley; secretary. Bill Schwartz; treasurer, Joe Thomas, and as our class advisor, we chose Mr. Butler. Student Council members were Lorraine Fisher and Jack Creighton. ■Lhis year was a busy one for us seniors. We presented a three act play, The Silk Hat Sleuth , and sold subscriptions for magazines. At basketball games we sold candy, and we also sold sweat shirts, T-shirts , and kerchiefs with our school emblem on them. All this helped build our treasury for the trip to New York City and the printing of our yearbook.
