The High School Band carried on a busy schedule of public performances during the year of 1950, with parades in Massena, Potsdam, Colton, South Colton and Parishville and their usual weekly concerts in Colton and South Colton. We brought home another Blue Ribbon from the Gouvernuer Fair to add to our collection of marching band prizes. Three other outstanding activities of the school year were the first performance of the band in the new Central School Auditorium at graduation exercises, playing for the Senior Class presentation of Miss Sraarty and the Christmas Program, the libretto of which was written by Mrs. Saucier and the music by Mr. Riehl. Many members of the band participated in the St. Lawrence County student and teachers band throughout the year. In the Fall we acted as host to the organization in our new gymnasium.
