we were hiding under the rug in the lobby' Well, would it? , ution . now that wouldn't be Sonny Campbell, by any chance said Grandpa. He always was an expert on relax- Sure Grandpa, Sonny and his old friend. Hermit Ford, were busy discussing plans for Sonny's new million dollars factory. Kermit is now President of the Build It Well Con- struction Company , answered Grandpa. By my curly white beard that certainly does sound like a roll call. Was my old friend Bob Selleck with his former classmates also? Yes, he was. Bob is quite a big cheese now. Everyone was congratulating him on the fine job he had done in coaching the world champion Colton Tigers. That's only natural','said Grandpa, he was voted the most athletic boy in school. But, tell me did you hear if Mr. Caruso finally did get his home grown team? , chuckled Grand- pa. Yes, that's the one that I am talking about , replied Whiskers. Well, it seems to me that they are all pretty important people. What happened to Pat Regan? She wa3 always one of my favorites . Why, Grandpa, you must have heard about her. She wrote the best seller, SLIPALONG FLANNIGAN IN THE GRAVEL PIT. She came with Virginia Moore, who has traveled extensively and done much research for Pat's books. Norva Beckstead accom- panied them. Norva is Pat's and Virginia's secretary”, ex- plained Squeaky. There were some peachy illustrations in the book done by Tootie Sanford, who has made quite a name for herself in the field of commercial art , said Whiskers. That brings us around to Julia Leary, last but not defi- nitely not least. She is the head nurse at THE PERMANENT REST SANITARIUM; Having troubles? Let us Take Care of Your Mentally Unbalanced Friends. I hope the work doesn't get her down , 3aid Squeaky. She looked pretty tired at the banquet . Yes, and you'll be tired too, if you don't get right to bed. I'm glad you could talk to me about my old friends but, if it happens again, you'll have to do without your candied cheese for a week , said Grandpa. All right. Grandpa, goodnight , cried Whiskers and Squeaky, You've certainly known some important people in your life time .

A PROPHECY A MOUSE TALE It was night time at the Hotel Plymouth and all through the house, not a creature was stirring except for a mousefor rather two mice). As our heroes appeared, we saw them sliding down the laundry chute to their home in the basement under the flour bin. In their hurry to reach their beds unseen, one of them. Squeaky by name, stepped on a long white object lying on the floor. Oh cheesesticks I Now you've done it . Whiskers. You've stepped on Grandpa's beard and he'll be mad enough when he finds out that we didn't get in at ten o'clock without adding insult to injury? Who pulled my beard? , grumbled Grandpa. Why Squeaky, Whiskers why aren't you in bed? Well, Grandpa, we meant to be home on time but there was a big banquet for some efficiency expert named Bernard Sullivan He figured out a system that takes all the work out of sleeping and we didn't want to miss the fun , said Squeaky. Yes, yes, that sounds like Bun or Speedy as his class- mates called him , said Grandpa. Why Grandpa, did you know him? , shouted whiskers. Of course I did. He came here with his class on their Easter trip. Why it must be all of fifteen years, 1951 to be exact . I'll bet you knew some of the other guests then. I heard some one say that all of his class mates were there, and that they were all famous. Philip Moore, who owns the 'NO CHANCE' nite club in the resort town of South Colton, was there with his wife, the former Joan Crossman. Joan directs the all-girl band at the club when she is not taking care of the twins . And who was it that started screaming and giggling when I started to run up her leg? , asked Squeaky. Oh, that was Eileen Seaver. She finally manged to start her own business, The Petite Dress Shoppe. Remember, she was discussing the latest fashions with Peggy O'Donnell. You know her. Squeaky, we saw her television show, 'Slumberland Symphony' sponsored by The Campbell Lazyland Mattress Company, the other nite when
