Standing: William Schwartz, Norva Beckstead, John Frank, Lloyd Daniels, Harold Perkins, Lloyd Strobeck, Bernice Whitcomb, Mr. Stark, Lorraine Leonard. Mr. Stark again organized a “Pep” band to play at the home basketball games. This organization forms the nucleus of our cheering section and adds zest to the games.

Fifth row: Jennie Ayres, Keitha LaPoint, Lloyd Daniels, Edward Gardner, John Frank, Allen Thomas. Harold Perkins, Betty Jessimer, Bernice Whitcomb, Norva Beckstead, Mr. Stark, Director. The band and chorus presented a combined concert March 23rd. The chorus enjoying its second year of four-part music. The band picture is one which was taken at the Gouverneur Fair, at which time Colton won first prize in its class of school bands. The band also participated in four fireman conventions, win- ning first prize at three of the four places. There are fifty-one students in the band this year, including the twirlers. There are fifty students in the Mixed Chorus this year, twenty-one of them are boys. The officers of the chorus are as follows: President, Harold Perkins; Sec.-Treas, Phillip Moore; Librarians, Mary Perkins, Esther Corcoran; Jan- itors, Carlton Wood, Harold Regan; Director, Mr. Stark.
