(Tune of Plow Gently Sweet Afton ) Be hapny and joyful, each of you. Yet thoughtful of oast years that were too few; The days that are ended have flown all too aoon And High School is over In this month of June, We know not what's before us, life becons us all Careers and professions will, on some of us fall; A new day is dawning, and new ways appear. So valient and hopeful we'll be of good cheer. Pond memories of classmates and friends come to mind And linger to cheer us, though they're left behind And when we leave each other to toil as we may. We'll all be prepared to join the fray, JOYCE HOGLE CLASS POEM These years have swiftly ended The goal is safely won. Behind us lies a pathway One jouimey that is done. A Journey through our studies With guidance strong and true. The guidance of our teachers Who showed us what to do. More pathways lie before us. To lead us on through life; Our choice we'll fearlessly tread. Though it be filled with strife. With deep regret we're leaving A school that proved to be A help, a faith, a Heaven For the class of Forty-Seven. JOYCE HOGLE ALMA MATER High above the Racquette waters. High upon a hill; Stands our dear Old Colton High School And it always will. Wave your banner ever onward Purple and the Gold; For our Dear Old Colton High School; Go ye ever bold.
