FOREWORD This year the Silver Spruce staff offers the students a new type of annual, and it has been our aim to produce one which is in keeping with the growth of the college and the changing tempo of its student life. It is the sincere hope of the staff that some of the pleasant incidents in your life at Colorado State will be immortalized in this book. In changing the type of the annual we know that we have produced a book which is probably far from perfect, so this year more than any other, the Silver Spruce ex- pects and urges criticism, for it is in this manner alone that the Silver Spruce, in future years, can be adjusted and modified to fit the expectations and needs of the student body, which it endeavors to represent and serve. This will be another 1937 Silver Spruce, however, with a volume number of thirty-two, since the staff feels that it will be more appropriate to date the annual the year of the graduating class, instead of the year the juniors will graduate.
