BUTCH ' Colorado College ' s football team returned from a lengthy trip to Walla Walla, Washington, still un- defeated, untied. Many of the team got back just in time to go to Lennox House to register for the draft. Wednesday, October 16, 1940, will be remem- bered by all as a significant day in our lives. Will anyone ever forget the following week-end? Homecoming! Parades, pep meetings, dances, open houses — and a football game! Friday was a holi- day to prepare houses and floats for the inter- fraternity competition. Phi Gamma Delta ' s Blitz- krieg took top honors for house decorations. Kappa Alpha Theta took a trip Over the Rainbow to Vic- tory and Sigma Chi swept all opposition away with their Minesweeper. Butch Chapman, as popular a queen as ever ruled, rode her throne for a day. Bob Bartlett, under- graduate homecoming chairman, saw that she and her attendants were treated royally. BLITZKRIEG— best. KOOLS— close. [27]
