The seniors and sophomores tied for first place in the contest of the floats. The seniors centered on academics — Study to show thyself approved unto God . . . rightly dividing the word of truth. II Tim. 2:15. The juniors’ float was a top single record of Banners of White and Blue. The sophomores based their float on the spiritual aspect, Whether therefore ye eat or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” I Cor. 10:31. The freshmen wanted victory in all sports.
