It has been a year of beginnings at CHCS. A new princi- pal in theHigh School to initiate the encompassing of all grades through twelve. A curriculum needed to be developed, as well as an expanded sports program, including volleyball, basket- ball, and softball forgirls as well as tackle football, J.V. and varsity basketball, weightlifting, and baseball for the boys. The better academic initiation students were recognized at the Beta Club in January. Future years will see the founding of other clubs. A senior high chorus, varsity band, and a J.V. band gave ample opportunity for students with talent in music to learn to express themselves for the Lord. Each area begun was initiated with one purpose in mind; that every young person might Let his light so shine before men, that they may see their good works, and glorify their Father which is in Heaven. 7

How we praise the Lord for the opening of our high school this year. Our vision for the goal of Christian education is the development of the total man . Thus, provision has been made spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically. We are delighted with the progress in all four realms. We are trusting the Lord for future expansion of our facilities. Specifically, we are looking toward develop- ment of a gymnasium, to make possible the improve- ment of our athletic, speech, drama, and music programs. Pray for the needs of vision and wisdom in relation to the possibilities of Industrial Arts and Home Economics as additions to our program. How thankful we are for the administration, faculty, and staff that the Lord has provided. Without their faithfulness many of these victories would be unrealized. 6

Dedication How refreshing to see God at work. He mixes together the qualities of His likeness in His obedient servants in recipe of life. Graciously, He stirs faithful obedience to His Word with 6 years of heart-felt compassion for people in France. Carefully, He adds love for young people, along with just the right amount of justice and fairness as a teacher at Colonial Hills Christian School for 8 years. Sprinkled throughout is the flavoring of character, which has the definite aroma of the Spirit-filled life demonstrated through sundry talents. Folded in the mixture is the ingre- dient of creativity that keeps freshness as the spice of life. Oh, yes, there is the oven of adversity from which many may shrink. Others respond with humility and willingly submit to the heat. The finished product is a life for God's glory to be tasted by a world who needs counsel and guidance, or, — here is Miss Williamson! 8
