It gives French stu- dents, who show a real interest inthe language, a chance to extend their interest beyond the classroom and the textbook. To accomplish this purpose, speakers are brought in to speak to the students in French and the business of the meetings is conducted in French. The club also publishes a French newspaper quarterly and sends it to Petersburg and Prince George as well as to some schools in France.
