sTuhefiT cXT ' tjAc mmiTJA GLENN CAMERON 9- 4 Glenn, one of the outstanding athletes of Irvine has been a very active member of the Newspaper Club for the past two years. He is also the efficient President of our Student Council. An excellent student, we feel Glenn fully deserves this award. BONNIE BERGMAN 9- 5 Bonnie actively participates in sports and is a member of the Referee Clut as well as a member of -the Newspaper Club. She is 9-15 s room representat pn Student Council. Bonnie ' s outside activities include C.G.I.T. and a ,Church Choir as well as studying Music and Elocution. GAIL FORSTER 9-15 Gail, now in her second year with the Newspaper Club, fulfilled the duties of the club very well as secretary. Outside of school, Gail is a member of C.G.I.T., choir and Youth Group besides studying Elocution, Drama and piano. President of her homeroom, Gail is a willing worker in all school activities. JOHN CRAWFORD 9-H John, The Newspaper Club treasurer, is also the President of his class and an active member of the Students 1 Councilo He studies musio and is a memb of a symphony band. A willing worker and an outstanding athlete we are pr to have John in our school. LINDA MCBEAN 8-9 A dependable student, Linda is a member of Volleyball and Basketball teams She also belongs to the Science and Newspaper Clubs. Taking diving lesson at the Y.W.C.A. and being a Junior Leader takes up quite a.bit of Linda ' s time. She also represented Irvine on the Knew Canada T.V. Series. ROD DAVIDSON 9- 0 A willing worker and a conscientious student. Rod has been an asset to all of his classrooms. He is one of the outstanding male students in our school, excelling in every sport he participates in. Rod has been a membe of every All-Star team and is developing fine qualities of leadership. SUSAN HEADLAND 8-9 Throughout her grade eight year, Susan Headland has shown outstanding qual and participates freely in school activities. As future editor of our newspaper and an apt member of the Art Club, Susan has worked diligently to maintain her high scholastic achievement as demonstrated by her honor poll standing. NOEL H UMP HR YS 9- U... Noel is another one of our top athletes. He has been a good student and an asset to his classrooms. Very cooperative and a most willing work® Noel has worked diligently in many school activities, particularly this year in the Newspaper Club. Noel has outstanding qualities of leadership.

The Student’s 1 Council in our school is designed to represent the students in the school ' s management. Thus far it has been very effective. It is composed of an executive, which is elected yearly by the students after a weeklong campaign, and the room representatives. The teacher sponsor regulates the Council ' s activities. The 1962-63 Students ' Council executive was elected on October 12. The re¬ sults were as follows:- Glenn Cameron Ken Adamson Terry Wiens Linda Carmichael Karen Aikenhead Greg Lucas President 1st Vice-President 2nd Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Grade 7 Representative The teacher sponsor this year was Mr. Desson. In 1962-63 the Students ' Council was very active. All socials came under their direction and they also sponsored a shag. The successful Penny Arcade was also a project of the Students ' Council.
