She participates in all school sports and enjoys music, weekends, the telephone and boys, JOANNE MITCHELL - Cute and laughing, Joanne is a great asset to 9-14. She likes boys, riding and movies, Joanne wants to become a secretary but her present aim is to pass Grade IX. GAYE SHAT - Gaye came to our school just this year from Saskatoon but alread has proved herself a good student and friend. Her aim is to be a pediatric doctor. Gaye enjoys active sports and is a willing member of the Newspaper Club. JUDY WATLING - Judy is always telling jokes. She enjoys skiing and drawing, which is whioh is known throughout the school. She hopes to become a nurse, FAYE T ' ILTSE - Short and blonde, Faye is the captain of our school cheer lead She enjoys swimming, riding and boys and hones to become a secretary. Her sparkling personality makes Faye a popular competent student. JIM BROWN - Jim is one of the Brains in our room and has made the Honor Roll several times. He likes oars, mechanical things and sports. Jim is an active member of the Newspaper and Math Clubs and hopes to make scienoe his life ' s work. GLENN CAMERON - Glenn is our leader not only in class affairs but also as president of the Students ' Council, Glenn won student of the month in January and works hard on -the Newspaper Club, He participates in all athletics and is liked by all CRAIG CHAPMAN - Craig is always ready to do something funny. He likes fishing, camping and other outdoor sports. He dislikes games suoh as lawn bowling. Craig ' s one ambition is to get through university and see the world, especially N.Zealand which he is particularly interestei ALLAN DAVIES Allan Davies is often -very quiet, conscientous, and a hard-working student. He likes boating, fishing and making model trains. His ambition is to beoome a sailor and see the world. COLIN GORDON - Sports-minded Colin is a whiz on skiis. He is interested in mountaineering and dislikes homework and detentions. His present ambition is to get through schoolo DAVID LEVSON - Although David is quiet, his marks show that he is an excellei student. Re excels in language and math and is liked by all his olassmi RICHARD MAKIN - 9-14 would be at a loss without Richard. He hopes to be employed in a branch of science in the future and beoome a nuclear physicist. Richard likes sports and many hobbies. COLIN MORTON - An active member of the Newspaper Club, Colin is interested in sports, science and raising dogs. He always gets top marks in our class and hopes to be employed in some form of scientific work. RICKY MURPHY - Rick is a member of the math club and likes chess. He hopes to beoome a lawyer. Rick enjoys water spcrts and outdoor sports. DARCY NICHOL - Darcy ' s main interests are in building radios, shooting and campingo He is an Army Cadet and belongs to a Gun Club. In the future Darcy would like to become an electronics engineer. DALE SBVERIN - Dale takes an active interest in sports and hopes to beoome a veterinarian. He is the reliable president of our class and one of the best students. His pet peeves are beans and brains, RICK SMITH - Rick is interested in all sports, especially hookey and footbal] He would like to become a petroleum engineer. Rick ' s pet peeve is doing homework . J.QHN STEWART - John came to Irvine afterChristmas but already is liked by ai: He wants to go to university and become a teacher. He likes all sports is a member of the school basketball team. RICHARD WHITNACK - Richard is interested in all sports especially football, is a good student and works hard to achieve success. He hopes to beoome an architect.

His ambition is to become rich, Lance belongs to the Junior Independent Order of Foresters, JIM OTT - Jim ' s biggest interest is sports, particularly golf and baseball. His ambition lies in the engineering field. Jim ' s dislike is wind, JAY TANCHE - Jay ' s main interest is sports and he likes to participate in sports affairs, GRAHAM TANNER - Graham, Mr, I-Opener for 1963, was the president of his home room. His major interests include scooters and, of course, girls. Graham wishes to complete school and take a course in automotives. RICKY TAYLOR - Ricky likes to build models and play football. He would like to be an electrical engineer, ROBERT i ' JEICH - Bob ' s interests are swimming, hunting, and cars. His ambition is to be rich. He likes going to school and enjoys homework, reallyl WING WONG - Wing is the president of the Camera Club, this year. His main interests range from piano to reading. DIANE ASHCROFT - Happy-go-lucky Diane is always ready for fun. She enjoys sports, especially jumping hurdles. Her aims are to conquer the hurdles and to be a P,E 0 teacher, LINDA BARS TAD - Track-star Linda is known in Irvine for swimming and broad jumping abilities, Linda came to our school just this year from Queen Elizabeth, She is a r-mfesh? of the Sea Lion swim team. We hope you liked Irvine, Linda, MAVIS BEATTIE - Looking far fun? Petite, pretty and red head, Mavis is always bubbling over with fun. She like3 sports especially swimming and listening to Bridge Party and 10-50 Teen Beat. Her favorite subjects are social studies and P.Ed,, PAT BOHERMAN - Known to all as ”Pat”, she enjoys travelling and boys. She is the reliable captain cf our School Patrols. Pat ' s hopes are to complete university and teach math and language, LESLIE BROOME - Tall and blende, Leslie enjoys sports and would like to become a secretary in a prosperous firm. Her ambition is to travel to Hawaii, Leslie was also our competent volleyball captain this year. DONNA CHAPMAN - Short, redhead, Donna is everybody ' s favorite. Donna likes music lessons, boys and fun filled weekends. Her ambition is to be a private secretary in luxurious Los Angeles, MARGO GLENNIE - Happy Margo is our popular ga l. She enjoys being captain of our school basketball team and other sports, Sho likes weekends but isn ' t too fussy about weekdays. Her ambition is to go all the way through school, , M ARILYN IRVING - Although she. is quiet., Marilyn is a reliable student and lots of fun. She is our class-, secretary. Her pleasant personality makes Marilyn liked, by everyone, MARJORIE. LAHODA - A former student of the month, laughing Marjorie enjoys literature most of all. She likes sports, lots of friends and good times. Her ambition is to someday be a literature teacher. LYANDA LUIDER - Lyanda ho.s been a student at Colonel Irvine for ' three years and she hopes this is her lust. GARY WONG - Gary or Jughead is fun loving and drives a white mouse to school -when it runs D His ambition is to be a pro football player but has visions of being a ski bum. JANE ANDERSON - Jane ' s presence was felt in every room she entered, A loyal class member, she participated in all houseleague sports. She was an active member of the badminton club. Her favorite ' sayings, Yous guys and How come were a source of amusement to the whole class, BONNIE BERGMAN - Well known and liked by everyone at Irvine, Bonnie has been a competent all round student since she came here from Hanna in Grade 7. This year she was active on the newspaper and won the Student of the Month award fbr Sept - Oct® She belonged to the Referee Club and was active outside the school as well LINDA CARMICHAEL - Linda was a very active student this year, participating in all school sports as well as being a member of the Newspaper and and Referee Clubs, She was secretary of the Students ' Council and won the Newspaper ' s ' tyliss I-Opener Award, She hopes to become a phys,-ed® teacher. BARBARA CARRUTHERS - Barbara was editor of the yearbook and was a member of the Newspaper Club, She was awarded Student of the Month for December last year. Because of her very good marks it is evident that she will succeed in her ambition of becoming a sohool teacher. WILMA DARJES - Wilma Darjes. a friendly easy-going person with a smile for everyone, worked on the Yearbook this year. She was interested in records, clothes and skiing and her ambition is to one day become an interior decorator, CHAYLE DICKEY - Chayle, who enjoyed swimming and bowling at the Winter Club, was active in our school houseleagues this year 0 She would like to become a Home Lonomics teacher and travel to Europe, JUDY ELLEKER - One of our room ' s more intelligent student ' 3, Judy, intends to complete school and become a nurse. Her favorite subjeot was Social Studies, She was on the girl’s volleyball team this year, and her other outside interests included bowling and ourling, GAIL FORSTER - Gail, a well-known wtudent, has bean an asset to our school® She won Student of the Month for November was President and Sa-rgeant- at-arms of her class and was secretary of the Newspaper Club, Gail had many outside activities this year, which included music lessons, C.G. I.T, and choir. FAYE MOULDING - During her past three years at Irvine, Faye has won a French award and a math award. Interested in music, she has studied piano for the past year. Active in C.G,I.T., Faye has been a diligent worker in all class activities, MARGARET MOONEY - Margaret is an active student in our sohool. While maintaining good marks this year, she was also a member of the junior girl’s basketball team and the Newspaper Club, She enjoys skating, swimming and camping, CATHY MORLEY - Cathy, a well-known student at Irvine for 3 years, takes music lessons and is active outside the school Next year she intends to go to boarding school in Winnipeg, DIANE NICHOLS - Diane, a friendly person with a kind word for everyone, was also a remarkable student throughout her three years at Irvine, She won the Student of the Month award in May, 1962, and this year was the competent editor of the I-Opener, Diane also worked on the Milk Bar this year 0 MILDRED PIRNAK - Mildred, an excellent student, attained the Honor Roll this year, Sinoe moving here from British Columbia at the beginning of the year, Mildred has been well-liked by everyone.
