EVENTS 1975- 1976 Events of 1975-1976 Dr. Lewis, our former Principal, was replaced by Dr. DeWitt this year. Mrs. Klein, our former Vice-Principal, left last summer. Miss Haimes was replaced by Mrs. Lamar- Mrs. Hurney left and was replaced by Mr. Krzysiak. Miss McLaren left and was replaced by Mr. Loeb. Miss McGee left. Mrs. Rosenszweig left. Mrs. Fishman left and was replaced by Mr. Fish. Mrs. Neuwelt left. Mrs. Pond left. Ms. Bohonek left. Ms. Callahan left. Mrs. Beach came this year. I The Teen Club, under Miss Robbins sponsorship, has had a dance every month, featuring such bands as Medilla, Free Spirit and Hard Cider. We have had an open gym every month. They've seen l776 , had a skiing trip, a week in Florida, beach parties, hay rides, concerts, Super Saturday, Bullets' game, ice hockey game, and have had lots of parties, swimming party, bowling party, roller skating party, and many more things are planned for the spring. The ninth grade has been busy this year, seeing movies, 1776 , Gone With The Wind',, Romeo and J u1iet . Many field trips were planned, including a 3-day trip to Congress, a Bicentennial Fair, a Science Fair and visited a Federal Court. On Valentine's Day they bought and sold valentines, and donuts are sold every Tuesday and Thursday. In the spring we have the annual 9th grade dinner dance, class breakfast and Awards Day. The faculty played another WKYS basketball game this year, along with a faculty vs. 9th grade soccer team, and faculty vs. 8 8a 9th grade basketball. A i We've had many HSSC111b1i6S this year, including the Kennedy jazz band and chorus. A talent show is planned for the spring and the Lee students will show their spirit again in Spirit Week. I This year the SGA was installed, with President Phil Ehr at the head. They've managed to get us a l5,minute break between 2nd and 3rd periods, plus 5 minutes between classes and more goodies are hoped for. 36
