The National Honor Society, which is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, is usually considered as the top student association and the top honor which a school can give or provide for its students. Membership is based on scholarship, character, service, and leadership. All members are selected by a vote of the faculty of their school and must have shown desirable characteristics in all four areas. Colon High School's chapter has been involved in a number of activities this year. In December they traveled to Chicago for a shopping sightseeing trip. Spring brought a trip to one of Michigan's colleges and in May, a day at Cedar Point. 22
