To the Seniors happiness is looking forward to graduation and the senior trip. To the Juniors it is looking forward to the Seniors Graduation so that they can become the big wheels of the high school. The Sophomores' idea of happiness is a life of parties, fun and food. To the Freshmen it is finally having a class named something other than another number, and the horrors of Freshman initiation are over. The Eighth Graders are happy because of the fact that they are soon to become Freshmen and are no longer little pests running through the halls. The Seventh Graders’ idea of happiness is finally being admitted to the high school. They are very proud to become one of the family of students housed within this high school building. To the Basketball Team happiness is having a golden season and bringing home the big trophy from the tournaments. To the Football Team happiness is having a season of all wins and no losses, and to the teachers of Colon High School happiness is their conference hour. Yes, there are many reasons for being happy in Colon High School, and the biggest reason for being happy is just being a part of it. Happiness is... a nap in chemistry Happiness is... giving a test Happiness is... an A in math Happiness is... showing off Happiness is... stealing a coke from the teachers' lounge Happiness is... the Great Pumpkin Happiness is... company on the bench Happiness is... a new scoreboard 5 Happiness is... the wrong door Happiness is... a Saturday night poker game Happiness is... the Queen's Dance Happiness is... This year the Club members have participated in the collection of funds for UNICEF, provided a stunt for a football pep meeting, set up and run a booth for the Varsity Club Carnival, and sang Latin carols for the Christmas assembly. They lived it up with togas, tunics, slaves, good food, and fun at the annual Roman Banquet in March, and in April attended the Festum Romanum at Portage Northern High School in Portage.
