“WASHINGTON, D. C On May 31, 1957, forty-nine seniors were graduated from Coloma high school. The pre- vious Friday, May 2.4, they presented their Class Night program. Baccalaureate was held in the auditorium on Sunday, May 26. The school bus was packed on March 2.9, with the excitement and thrilling adven- ture awaiting forty-three seniors and three chaperones. The group was taken to LaPaz, Indiana, where they boarded a train, and headed toward Washington, D, C. , on the an- nual senior trip. The trip was a complete success and was enjoyable all the way through, although when they returned, a fe -av of them were a little tired. The first state that they saw after leaving Indiana, was Ohio. The next state was Penn- sylvania, where they saw the huge steel mills in operation in Pittsburgh. After leaving Penn- sylvania they toured Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. In the morning they arrived at their destiny. During the morning they went on a sight- seeing tour, and visited the Bureau of Eng rav- ing and Printing, the Washington Monument and the White House. That night they went to the Casino Royal, a night club, and had dinner. After dinner, they went on a thrilling night tour of the Archives Building, Congressional Lib- rary, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Mem- orials. The following day was spent at Annapolis, Maryland, where they visited the state capi- tol, and the NavalAcademy. The evening was spent on a Moonlight Cruise down the Po- tomac River. The last day of touring was spent at the Ar- lington National Cemetery, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Iwo Jima Memorial, and Mount Ve rnon. :2:5:5:5:E55:2:45:1:I:1:2:2:I5:1:E:E5i:1igjEg.?1g'?i'?j:1:2i9g:2i?f:2:EI 21:-:imaze:zs:a2z:z:szs.f::::2:1:z: ay frs:2a21:32si:1E::am2fE',:w':gf N- , f'-21.-Qzssvf ............... ., ........
