EVIDENT IN SECRETARIAL STAFF Mrs. H. Lawson concentrates upon the hundreds of federal forms and pupil affadavits which must be completed and filed in the office of the school board. The school bookkeeper, Mrs. L. Kea is responsible for a complete record of all financial trans- action at Huntington. IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY Still able to smile after a hard day of work, the secretarial staff takes time to pause for our photographer.

Mrs. V. James, the personal secretary to the principal, finds typing letters, keeping statistics, answering the telephone, recording grades, making the morning announcements and keeping an accurate record of the school staff and personnel but a few of her many task. Assorting attendance cards is one of the many duties of Mrs. T. General. A continuing follow-up of students is one means of evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the school program. Mrs. Seabron realizes that a complete and accurate record of every child is im- portant. 18

7 GUIDANCE AWAKENS STUDENT INTEREST Ly MANY AREAS | The guidance program at Huntington aims to assist students in understanding themselves and their problems; to enable them to make good use of their personal and environmental resources; and to help them make wise choices in dealing with problems of adjustment and guidance. Lara Butts utilizes the services offered by the Guidance Department in obtaining information from Mr. Holmes about occupational possibilities. М. Wilson assists Lara Brown in filling out her ap- plication to take а college entrance examination. 20
