ed; cation MRS. MAMYE E. BACOTE With contriteness of spirit, devoted- ness of heart and respect for humility, the graduating class of 1967 dedicates this edition of the HUNTINGTONIAN to Mrs. Mamye E. BaCote, a versatile social studies teacher who has vastly enriched our understanding of world affairs. Whether it be world history, geography, or United States history, as she weaves her intellectual spell, the affect is the same--history made alive. The same warmth, friendliness, and 6 sincereity that is exemplified in her class- room is also felt by those who have come to know her as a teacher and friend. Her devotion, patience, and understanding have made a real contribution to our de- velopment. Among the extracurricular activities offered at Huntington, you can find Mrs. BaCote at work as sponsor of the National Senior Honor Society and as co-chairman of the Student Council.

Ltr Wu, d ==: m. [$1] FOREWORD As graduation time approaches, we look forward to the time when we will be able to explore the unknown world around us. We will carry with us all the knowledge and learning we have acquired at Hunting- ton High School. As we recall the many wonderful events we shared during our five years in high school, we shall re- member, especially, the places where we gathered to study, to play, and just to be together. Our yearbook, the HUNTINGTON- IAN, will help us to remember the impor- tant landmarks which contributed to our happiness, pleasures, and even our dis- appointments. We shall remember the eighth grade, our freshman, sophomore and junior years and particularly our magnificent days as seniors. We shall remember 1967 for IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR.
