WE REMEMBER ... LHE EIGHTH GRADE Having looked forward to this phase of our education for the past year, we excitedly enrolled in Huntington High and were classified as eighth graders. We anticipated attending our first football game as authentic Vikings with great excitement. Our minds were focused on the gaiety, excitement, and glory that would be ours; not on the adjustments to our environment which would inevitably come also. We found some of our school work difficult, some fun, and other work, we thought, was just plain easy. Some of us have done well this year, others not so well; but we all will do much better next year. It will be different then, for we have realized the great challenge which confronts us. Grandberry (FIRST ROW) Barbara Davis, Linda Woodard, Darrilyn Vassar, Diane Williams, Annette Banks, Paulette Burrell, DeVeda Scales, Mary Gayle (SECOND ROW) Jesse Harvey, Michael Keller, Jean Hargraves, Davidsina Willis, Janice Williams, Susie Lynch, George Fleming, John Sullivan, (THIRD ROW) Nelson Armstrong, Lonnie Stith, James Hawkins, Mary Haynes, Emily Peters, Annee Robinson, Rose Young, Robert Thomas, Baron Gatling, Dwight Crewe, Dwight Guy, Frankie Faison, Gary Palmer, Clarence Alston, Lloyd Golden.
