 k ■ I Prom night... ah-h-h-h, what memories of Prom we now have and boy, kids, some memories! Looking back on that eventful night after that brain-cracking test we find the' elite of Collin-wood (12A's to you) really whooping it up. After greeting our chaperones. wKb by the way, looked very un-teacherish, we looked around and found........ Everybody looking so different in their long gowns and dress suits ... Margaret Salz spilling her compact all over Bernard MoGroarly . . . Marguerite Konskey giving few pointers on dancing to Russ Nelson . . . dignified Warren May jitterbugaing . . . the girls' robbers dance making the fellows feel sought-after . . . Grace Figer being everywhere at once and at the same lime winning the votes for the cutest girl at the dance . . . Geraldine Shelko and Violet Slefanis wowing us all in bright red formals ... Miss Reberl being asked to dance more than some of the girls . . . Helen Rakauskas in black net and gold sequins, sophisticate ... Bob Paterson and Mary Ann Berger making a stunning couple ... Eleanor Salmon sporting a brand new engagement ring. Congratulations . . . Ruth Davis tearing her gown c id also, receiving a long distance call from Toiy Adamle . .. Molly Ann Brown escorted by Dick Kaitis. swell seeing her again ... A1 Sevilla and his band giving out with some swell music... those South American decorations were very sharp and went over big . . . Johnnie Vaiksner telling us about all the girls fighting over him ... Mr. and Mrs. Zahour, an attractive dancing couple . . . Jack Caputo escorting Myrtle Edwards in the Grand March . . . the entertainment some of the best we've seen . . . Howard Connor. M. C., getting big laughs with his jokes . . . Marjorie Hunt's rendition of ''There Are Such Things and Why Don't You Fall In Love With Me was very lovely ... Don Harlick beating out some mellow boogie-woogie on the piano . . . Bill Cowles palter act very convulsing, his jokes about some of the chaperones (remember Mr. Gudikunst?) getting a big ha ha ... Doris Hood doing a swell singing job with While Chirslmas and ''One Kiss .. .Anne Marrapodi singing Praise the Lord • with the band, and she got a big hand ... yours tj-uly getting a big shock when Blair Shreyer kissed her hand when the good-byes were said . . . white formals seen a lot, and an especially nice white net with feathers around the shoulders on lovely Louise Dieckmann . . . Virginia Stepp wearing a cute blue net Juliet cap to make hef ensemble different .. . Tony Savarino jitter-bugging with none other than Mario Falcone . . . Rosemary Harris on the arm of Class Pres., Ancjy DiLiddo . . . Pete Spetseris beating it out on the buss fiddle while playing with the band . . . FrechNance givinq out with some mellow impromptu songs . . . Joanne Briganti in a red and white ruffled conga dress, paired with Bill Knapel... Mr. and Mrs. Rowe, one of the nicest looking couples we've seen in a long time . . . Domenic Vercellino doing a balancing act with two refreshment plates ... Carol Hewitt looking sharp in black velvet and aqua net . . . Bernice Reschke. in a lovely white net, being escorted by Don Anderson... Jack Weis and Earl Goglin, two of the tallest and handsomest boys there (or am I kidding?) ... all the girls blossoming out in fur jackets ... Winifred Holm with a darling up-sv eep hair-do . . . Mildred Krukemeier in peach net with matching slippers ... Adolph Grajzar escorting our Class Secretary . . . All the boys acting like gentlemen . .. Dick Cherry popping out anywhere with his flash-bulb camera . . . Dorothy Igoe and Bob Beni really jivin' on the dance floor—Viola Piccozzi in a sweet white taffeta with a red velvet jacket... Gloria Baltus in a pink organdy with sparkling gold sand sparklers all over it . . . Betty Thompson singing You Made Me Love You with the band, and it was excellent ... the kids still exchanging cards . . . the adorable toy soldiers and sailors that were given as favors. . and the usual huddle of bashful (?) fellows in one corner... all the kids agreeing and demanding that wo should have'another prom very soon . . . then the great migration to the Alpine Village where the Collinwood students sang the Collinwood song and gave the locomotive and joined in with Auld Lang Syne ... and memories of a wonderful time, the swell chaperones and most of all, finding out what nice kids there are in your Class.
