The parting here is sad for me, Hut in some University, (Though others scoff at Education) I'm filled with a determination To have yet another graduation. I am an Alumnus! I am an Alumnus! Though some for worldly riches yearn, I pray for just the power to learn! The one with learning in his way. Whose mind will grow from day to day, Can truly, now and forever say, “I am an Alumnus!” Second graduate: I am an Alumnus! For four years I have “crammed for tests. My classes I have cut with zest. I've had mv joy and had my sorrow. But I can sleep ’till noon tomorrow. Xo homework will I have to borrow. I am an Alumnus! I am an Alumnus! For four years I've been made to hurry. I may be lazy, but I should worry! Haste may get me places faster. But in doing nothing. I am master! All over me I’m going to plaster ‘T am an Alumnus!” Albert Busch max The booklet committees of the 1933 Turret wish to acknowledge the generous contributions from the Alpha. Beta. Delta. Gamma, and Epsilon Chapters of the Hi-Y and from the five 12A homerooms. The unselfish cooperation of Mr. C. F. Matthias, Turret sponsor. Mr. Frank Nalbor, adviser of the art work, and Mr. J. I '. Landis, adviser of the literary work is very much appreciated. . ... So the book is closed, and high school ends. To our friends of the faculty and student body we say that this has lieen a happy time for us, enriched by our many pleasant associations and by the vast fund of knowledge and advice we have acquired. Members of the class will go forth in their resj ective ways with many happy memories; and the spirit of the class and it ideals forever a part of them . . ... So farewell, farewell to thee! From the January class of thirty-three!”
