Mxmlne anl adr LH were golng to Colllnsvllle to v1s1 thel parents We heard the drone of a plane, whlch proxed to be the plane that we were waltlng for lhe plane landed, and the pllot and hostess stepped out of the plane I was speechless' Mrs Prlne, you'll never guess who they were The pllot was Lols Petty, and the hostess was Maxlne Blllmeler James, Wanda, Velma, Lols, and Max1ne were surely surprlsed to see us The men of the press and the photographers were surroundlng us All of us turned to stare when one of the photographers addressed James as Hbcooter We recognlzed the Brooklyn dlalect at once Of course, you know the photographer's name now Well,1t was Bob Owen He proved hls At last we reached the theater Velma James, and Wanda went to see the manager after promlslng to meet us after the show We entered the lobby and there stood you'll never belleve lt' There stood Nelda Jo Scott and Nedra Swlndle Nelda and Nedra told me that they were llVlDg ln Whltesboro and that they talked over the back fence They stlll flnd llfe as gay as ever There was a nolse comlng from the dlTGC t1on of the door It seemed that two people were dlSCuSblng the merlts of Wllllam Shake- speare A glrl entered It was Mary Oma Smlth, and next came Claudle Burns Mary Oma had been tourlng the country glvlng book revlews Claudle lS now a poet He has become famous for hls verslon of NMy Beloved Master Wllllam Shakespeare U Wrltlng seems to have agreed w1th Claudle, for he has gained some superfluous welght slnce hlgh school days We declded to go to a drug store for coca colas Slnce Richard's car would not accommodate all of us, we called a taxl IL ' ' 5 ' in f ' 1 ' ' '1 'r f . We arrived at the drug store, which was ' located in the Medical Arts Building. There was a nurse at the counter.
