Wwffw In the spring of 1954, when the defeat of the Axis powers was just a memory, and our national debts were paid, and peace and prosperitx reigned, visited my old home town of Collinsville I saw Frances Ann LaFen1 and Luczlle and they told me of how they had married and were living on the farm I talked with some of the girls mothers, and they told me that Bzllze Joyce was working IH a large business firm, and so were Wanda and J1mm1e Ree had been corresponding with Ved and he had told me that he had served his term in the service back in 1Q45,8Hd he was having a good time now as a success ful English professor in an hastern College, where Vax and James were teaching Math Pee Hee fLavergneJ was still operating the Old Varleg Skating Rink be tween Collinsville and Tioga On my way to the school house, I saw Davzd tolling in the blacksmith shop, and when I reached the school, Jozce was sweeping the halls, an he told me he was the janitor I later heard that L. A. Grzmes was p- erating a forty-acre ranch west of Collinsville. Albert Wallace, who was home for a few days, told me that he was a diplomat in the foreign service, and I explained to him that I had a good job as a business woman. -- Clrffo Jean Davis
