This picture taken in 1913 was from a play called 'Clarence. This play had the same theme as Sweeney Todd.” These people participated in Clarence which took place at CHS 58 years ago. Matriarch Widow Fairoak (Joanne Ochoa) despairs over the loss of home and hearth while rotting in jail. Happiness dawns for the virtual and justice smiles upon all Chirps Widow Fairoak (Joanne Ochoa) as Sailor Tom (Bryan Penny) and Lily (Cindi Jacobs) draw close for love's sweet embrace. Meanwhile Minnie (Caroline Smulders) and Brooklyn Jake (Steve Fulton) ponder their future together whilst in a state of bliss. Mrs. Lovett (Sarah Sweet) cries- Sweeney Todd, your doom awaits!” Mr. Nelson does a fine job as the director of the play. Student Life ll

Zhespirns Present Sweeney Todd is a melodrama written by Tim Kelly and based on the classic melodrama by George Pitt. Sweeney Todd” is the story of a San Francisco barber who shaves his customers a little too close. With the assistance of his partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett, he robs and kills. Along with the evil doings in his barber shop. Sweeney has plans to marry the socially prominent Lily Fairoak — no matter what the cost. Complications set in and Sweeney ends up with a few problems that he didn’t count on. Tryouts for Sweeney Todd were October 6. 7. and 8 after school in Room 108. Cast for Sweeney Todd was selected by Mr. Mark Nelson. theater teacher and director for the play. A. Sweeney Todd (Kevin Jerls) gets a rousing ovation during curtain calls on opening night. B. The reptile who walks like a manI The oily Sweeney Todd (Kevin Jerls) fabricates yet another alibi of innocence while in the clutches of the angry mob. Note the Barnacle (Jon Jerome) holding his constricted throat. The work of Sweeney Todd! C. The Barnacle (Jon Jerome) proceeds to drive home his point to an unsuspecting policeman (Chris Walker) and two dock urchins (Kim Heien and Mari Dobbs). D. Two play participants show a lot of enthusiasm. E. Cast members of the play made it a great success! “Sweeney 20 Student Life
