THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO MR. VAN HAAFTEN Keep busy, is Mr. I. W. Van Haaften's motto. He not only directs the entire hot lunch program in the Collinsville school, but he is also the editor of the Newsgram, a state publication of the Illinois State Food Service Association. MRS. CUNNINCHAM To most of the students at CHS Mrs. Cunning- ham is the cafeteria cashier, but this is only a small part of her many duties. As Mr. Van Haaf- ten's assistant, she assumes the entire responsi- bility of the cafeteria in his absence and is in charge of all the records and bookkeeping. THESE ARE THE SERVICE STAFFS Messrs. Cuff, Stark, Baquet, Lange, Hook, Launhardt. CUSTODIANS These are the men behind the scene who work around the clock to keep our school and campus in top-notch condi- tion. Friendly and courteous, they are always on call to assist' wherever they are needed. Both the faculty and stu- dents are truly thankful for the fine job they are doing. MATRON Armed with safety pins, bandages, kleenexes, and blue slips, Mrs. Ray is well prepared for any sick-room crises. The door to her immaculately well-kept room is always open to those in need of her assistance. MRS. RAY

SERVE THE TRIBAL TABLE We will always remember the ladies with the ladles who have served many a hungry student and teacher with a delicious, piping hot meal. We should certainly give these deserving women a tip of the hat for their efficient managing of the cafeteria. lt goes without saying that without our student cafeteria workers our hot lunch program would not run smoothly. The duties of these volunteer workers are var- ious and innumerable. Some wash dishes, others fill plates, and still others work be- hind the snack bar. Working with Mr. Van Haaften and the cooks, the student cafeteria staff help to provide the faculty and student body with a spotless and -well- organized lunch room.
