and the mud and muck for other school systems in the area. The passage of the bond issue for relieving the crowded conditions in our schools has en- abled these Far-sighted planners to de- velop a long range program to meet the anticipated needs ofour growing commun- ity. At the packed high school, wings are to be added to the north and to the south to permit additional class rooms, band facilities, and much needed gymnasium space for the supervised recreation program. On the elementary level, the ever- alert board members are promoting the building program in those areas which will be the Future growth areas of Collinsville. Unless one has actually served in the all too often thankless iob of memberof a board of educa- tion he could hardlyappreci- ate the problems that accom- pany the duty. There is no limit to the details that these already busy people are ex- pected to fit into their own very crowded schedules.
