One ofthe newer clubs at Collins High School is the A Cappella Choir which was organized in 1953. Under the direction ofMrs. Charlotte Cole, the choir presents musical programs for the churches in Oak Hill and also participates in Betty Burgess Audrey Eigenbrod Janet Grounds Barbara Herndon Norma Herndon Joy .Iarrell Libby Lively many school programs. Studentsinterested in singing for enjoyment and students with a desire to learn more about music, are invited to become a member of the :hoir. up ' x MIXED GLEE CLUB Music soothes the savage beast is an old proverb, and while there are no savage beasts at Collins High School, there nevertheless is music Each day during the fourth period, 29 teenage vocalists under the direction of Mrs. Charlotte Cole blend their voices to send echoes of famil iar strains floating through the halls ofour school This musical group is accompanied at the piano by Naomi Bays and Bonnie Morgan.
