I 'Y ',. ,,,, ,,,,, .. Officers of the Freshman class are: Ronald Gillenwater, vice pres- identg Marilyn Thompson, secretary- treasurerg and Charles Zink, presi- dent. CLASS RECORD During the year 1956, the Freshmen achieved the following honors: The Freshman class met at the first of school and elected class officers and nominated candi- dates for Miss Imp. The four Imp cheerleaders are Freshmen. The Imp football team won five, lost two, and tied one game. The Freshman class held its annual Home- coming game and crowned Miss Imp. The Freshman class held its annual Freshman Frolic on November 19, 1955. The Freshmen participated in the Talent Show and a Freshman won first place in the vocal di- vision and appeared on WOAY-TV. Another Fresh- man placed in the instrumental division. Freshmen have been chosen as fashion stand- outs in the Log. Freshmen participated in the Christmas pro- gram. The first semester of school the Freshmen had more students on the honor roll than any other class. Members of the Freshman class belong to the band and the orchestra. Freshman classes took part in the class tour- naments. There are Freshman class representatives on the Acorn staff. Members of the Freshman class are on the Imp basketball team. There are Freshman members in the G.A.A. and one Freshman officer. Freshmen serve on the Library Staff. Freshman class officers went to the Fayette County student convention. Freshmen have several members on the major committees at Collins. Freshmen helped to sell Acorn subscriptions. .eshmen are members of the Glee Club. A Freshmanis a charter member of the Hi-Y. Freshmen are members of the Latin Club. There are two Freshman majorettes.
