,fuuivr P ay... Mare Che Mcrriar ' ' The Mo re the Merrior, a riotous three- act comedy, was chosen by the junior class for their annualplay. At the first try-outs, fifty-five juniors recited in competition. The play was presented at the Elementary School auditorium. Two performances were given ---a matinee staged forthe students and an even- ing performance open to the general public. The play cente red around the Hunters, a typicalAmerican family. ltinvolved mischievous events that teenagers arrange when parents leave the household. Jimmy and Hank wrote for and i received a wrestling course without paying the cost, fifteen dollars. Judge Washburn arrived at the Hunter home congratulating Jimmy for start- ing Teen Town, and everyone thought he was send- ing them to jail for failing to pay for the wrest- ling course. Then the fun began. The cast included: Danny Christian, Mary Hunter, Margaret Kyle, Tommy Goode, Barbara Legg, Patricia Franklin, Margaret Myers, Peggy Miller, Nancy Matthews, James Waugh, Mike Rollins, Tommy Carpenter, Janice Scarbro, Kay Stover, Betty Koone, and Johnny Tennant. 4- Q Q . Q, QW. i 1 A l Q 1? Christmas at Collins was a time of much happine s s and wonderful s pi rit. Not only was it the time of Noel and exchanging presents but the Christmas season also brings a long awaited vacation. The all-school Christmas pro- gram undoubtly was a display of our best talent. Sponsored by the Student Council, many individuals and clubs took part in the program. To climax the program, merry Santa Claus came to Collins with his traditional s ack full of gifts. Jolly old St. Nickolas, ali as Gene Vance, was very nice to good little teachers, coaches, and students by presenting them with many wonderful gifts. la
