TOURNEY SPONSOR CONNIE FRYE, SENIOR, WAS CHOSEN by the Student Council to be Tournament Sponsor. Form- erly, each school in the county sectional basketball tournament chose a girl to represent it. Although the practice was discontinued this year, the Council selected Connie and she was honored at the class toumaments. Later, a dance was held in her honor at the scout cabin. The cabin was decorated to look like a basketball court and a basket and net were put up at the lower end of the cabin. Special dances for Connie and her escort kept her in the spotlight all evening. Connie looks at her picture perched on a basketball at the dance honoring her as Tournament Sponsor. became part of the audience that supplied Connie and Shirley dance in front of the huge sign with Connie's name on it at the dance.
