Enthusiasm and basketball fever gained momentum with spectators, too, as the season progressed: and Sectional Tournament sessions in Fayetteville at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building looked like a Red Devil Homecoming celebration. With hope so high, Devil players and specta- tors suffered keenly when the Mt. Home Mustangs toppled the Red and Black in the finals, 55-44.
