Sporfing new blue and gold fassels, yellow chrysanfhemums in fheir hair, and colorful uniforms, our majoreffes' snappy rou- fines and cheery smiles were viewed and enioyed by many during fhe foofball season. For fhe firsf fime, Colls majoreffes were seen in a pep rally before fhe Thanksgiving Day game. They wore sailor ouffifs and fwirled fo Anchors Aweigh. This marlced fhe close of fheir acfivifies during foof- ball season. Nexf on fheir agenda came Specfacular Sam, Colls fabulous Talenf Show. Here fhe maioreffes fwirled fo Alabama Bound, wearing sfunning cos- fumes which fhey made fhemselves. They also ap- peared in fhe annual Kolls-Hi-Karnival. On fhe field ihe band was ai ils besl, using many new formalions and drills. The maioreifes were headed by Penny Edwards and Connie Simpson. ln addilion ro playing af loolloall games and pep rallies, They had rheir own concerl' in March and also played in lhe annual Spring Concerl in May. In December, our band marched in Jrhe Welcome Sanlau Parade, and in May marched in The Memo' rial Day Parade. The band members also produced lhe Minslrel Show for rhe Karnival.
