The maintenance department is always on the job to make school life more plea- sant, The shiny windows and neat desks give the school a bright appearance. Deli- cious, inexpensive meals served by the la- dies of the cafeteria satisfy the students' appetites, Mrs. Edna Krebs manages the cafeteria staff and serves the best of foods. Those who assist are Miss Emma Ballinger, Mrs. Mabel Clasby, Mrs. Luella Clifford, Mrs. Marie Gooch, Mrs. Ethel Reeves, Mrs. Sara Taylor and Mrs. Elizabeth Townsend. Mrs. David E. Black serves as cashier. Albert l-loehling, chief of the janitorial staff, is assisted by lohn Barrett, Charles Landens- berger, Harry Muckley, George Saltford Martin Smith and loseph Williams. The four areas of work under the heading of Guidance are clas- sified as individual counselling, vocational guidance, college selections and scholarships, and job placement. Mr. George H, Letts, Ir., is head of the department, His work is giving students advice on their trying problems and chosen fields of Work. For the sophomore class, he conducts Weekly orientation classes which help the pupil with scholastic and personal problems. Miss Ruth E. Griffiths, counsellor for the senior girls, advises them on all phases of social and business life. Miss Margaret Roberts has charge of the junior and sophomore girls. Miss Eunice Mellinger, as in former years, is again offering guid- ance to those interested in college, supervising their training for college and emrance examinations, and assisting pupils in making application for scholarships. The placement of students in after-school and Saturday Work, as well as post-graduate Work, is capably handled by Mr. Charles McCaslin and Miss Gladys Hillman. .
