Iohnson was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He gradu- ated from Pennsylvania State College in 1921 and came to Collingswood the following February. His extra activities include Boy Scout work and a hobby shop in his cellar. For the future he plans retirement and a peaceful little home in the country.

I-le has taught in Collingswood Senior High School for twenty-six years. During this time he has taught all branches of mathematics and sci- ence, and has 'been business advisor to the Knight Staff for twenty-four years.
