Each year, novae, or new stars, burst from the heavens and shine brightly through the year. Like the novae, the sophomores have made a first brilf liant appearance with carefully chosen officers and a Whos Who that rivals the juniors' and seniors'. Guiding these new stars are Miss Mary E. McKenzie and Mr. Harry W. Schwartz, the faculty advisers. Elected by the secret ballot of the class are the following oflicers: Archibald Lingo, presif dent, Dorothy Campbell, vicefpresidentg Alice Noling, secretary, and jean Love, treasurer. Sophomores The nineteen hundred aaa fortyffour Who's Who suggests future leaders of this class. Dorf othy Campbell and Artie Lingo are the typical sophomores. Veronica Schaaf and Owen Kirkf bride are the studious stars. Jean Love and Thomas DePaul have personality plus Made' line Tanner and Kenneth DePuy have been chosen as class musiciansj Marion Stroehle is the prettiest girl and Curtis Taylor is the best looking boy. With this allfstar cast, Collingswood High School and the faculty look forward to two more bright and shining years with the stars of nine' teen hundred and fortyffour. Left: Archibald Lingo and Dorothy Campbell share a bottle of pop in the typical sophomore fashion. Center: Practical :joker Shirley VVillett gives a hot-foot to 1'rank Hitchcock, class comedian.
