The Bell rings . . . GLORIOUS vacation over, on September 9, the daily trek back to dear old Alma Mater begins anew. Herds come streaming in from every direction possible, for the student body has grown this year. lnside the dear old familiar halls are excitement, remorse, and bewilderment. Faith- ful Miss Oliver has her hands full trying to reg- ister the many greenies who walk hesitantly into the office. Once again begins the exhaustive study of reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic. As one wanders down the halls, groups are seen, hither and yon, relating the wonderful adventures that were experienced during the vacation. All are talking at once, Snatches are heard of the wonderful coat of ton one acquired, the swell life-guard another met, the new sights someone else saw. So it continues for into the day. Some are wondering aimlessly here and there, gazing around them with rapt expressions, which one interprets as the glad-to-be-back look, while the greater matarity show an emotion of exactly the cpposite nature, Cutting across the park, through flu: fields, down the avenue, fhe slu- dellls lefurn to Sthtwl. artsy, busy, busy Miss otiw wg. isrm newcomers. This is something different and is in charge of Mr, Raber Seely. Several weeks pass and the campaign ends with the mercury overflowing. The goal is reached and passed with 850 subscriptions, Victory, how sweet thou art! The very word victory reminds one of other stu- dent groups.
