Commercial Department H HE commercial department aims to prepare boys and girls to become competent members at the business community. This involves the teaching of general busi- ness subiects like business organization and law, as well as the more technical subjects of shorthand, typing, and bookkeeping, Fully cis important os any of these subjects is the development ot good business habits and attitudes. Latin Foreign Language Department H NE of the aims ot the Foreign Language Department is to give an under- standing of the language, that is, a fair ability to read, write, and speak the language. The student becomes better acquainted with his mother tongue-its ward derivations and grammatical:constructions. A second aim is to give a cultural background by creating an appreciation for the literature, art, and music of the country. Another aim is to prepare the student for further study in college.
