He is a graduate of Shippensburg Teachers' College, and Gettysburg where he received his AB, His MA. was obtained from the University of Pennsylvania. He also has attended Columbia University and Temple, taking special courses. Before completing his college course, Mr. Eichelberger enlisted to serve his country during the World War. During a period of one and o half years in France he took active part in six major Allied drives. Prior to coming to Collingswood High School, Mr, Eichelberger taught in a grammar school in Pennsylvania for two years and a Bays' Preparatory School for three years He was Vice-Principal and head of the History Department in Amityville High School, Arnity- villelg New York, and was Principal of the Junior-Senior High School in Patchogue, New Yor . A continuance in a progressive way of all activities in Collingswood High School ex- presses Mr. Eichelberger's aim for C, H. S, The school day for Collingswood High begins at 8150 with the late bell tolling at 8147. Each morning offers three periods of forty-five minutes with assembly at l'l 205. On Tues- days ond Thursdays the Seniors and Juniors iourney to the auditorium for many enjoyable programs as do the Sophomores on Wednesdays and Fridays. After assembly comes the fatal dash to the lunchroom. First come, first served, seems to be the rule, as those who don't speed up their walk generally are without a seat and get mixed in the mad iam to buy food and pay for it, Soon the lunch period passes and the three afternoon periods follow with a make-up period after school for those people who need special instruction Thus passes a typical day in Collingswood High SclWOOl. HT HE bays and girls of Collingswood High School deserve the best education that can be provided, but they must work for it. The teacher can only direct and inspireethe pupils must do the work. This is Mr. John B, Ritter's educational creed for Collingswood High School, The supervising principal of the schools came to Collingswood in September, l9l9, Previously, he taught in Wilmington Conference Academy, Dover, Delaware, and in Camden High School. He received his AB. at Gettysburg College and his MA, at the University of Pennsylvania. Although Mr. Ritter is kept very busy with school work he has three hobbiesfsports, his automobile, and his garden. Mr. Percy S. Eichelberger also has hobbies-golf, swimming, hunting and fishing, lt is he who supplies the rabbits' feet for the football team as good-luck charms for the clash between the two great rivals, Camden and Collingswood. Mr. Eichelberger became Principal at Collingswood High School in September, l927.
