To the Senior Class of 1969: Hie time has come for me to speak a few words of wisdom to each of you as you prepare to make your departure. I am elated that you have come this far on your educational journey and I have enjoyed working with you and for you. Your class has been an outstanding one, in that it was composed of many students with scholastic ability and varied talents, I can’t help but miss your presence here at Colleton High School, but I wish each of you continued success in your endeavors. You have been taught many things at Colleton High School; you have participated in many activities and your lives have been enriched by these. As you go your separate ways I want you to always remember that “Education does not consist merely in mastering languages, the scientific field, the business world and other professions, but education is also found in that moral training which extends beyond the schoolroom to the streets and various avenues of life.” As you continue to build upon your educational foundation, may you always remember your training at Colleton High School and these parting words: “So high grandeur to our dust, So near is God to man.
