The purpose of the production was to raise funds for travel and research funds for students in Theatre, Music and Art. A trip to New York was hoped to be taken to see three Broadway shows and tour a couple of Art museums. The purpose of Pirates was to help fund transportation ex- penses. The play has a happy ending, showing the audience that marriage is still a very special institu- tion not easily sent asunder. One Foot In Hea ven The third production at Beacon Hill was the play One Foot in Heaven by Hartzell Spence. Charlton John Trader starred as a minister with a tough task ahead of him as he and his family adapt to life in a new par- ish. Together they break through decades old grudges, social levels and hypocries in a most comic way, finding jewels of friendship beneath the rubble of an ancient parish house. This means that they have now won 25 straight home conference games. This was also the 31st straight home win against NAIA com- petition. The only team to defeat the 'Cats on their home court during the past 32 games was SEMO, earlier this season, but they do not belong to the NAIA. Commenting on the season as a whole, Coach Waller stated, We were just as good as anyone else in the District, and we showed that. We started out with some disadvantages but we came through them.
