THE BIG THREE DR. W. R. WESTHAPER has served the college with unfailing devotion for over twenty years. He is a man of many capacities and is able to act as head of the Physics Department as well as attending to the many details of college curricf ulum. This year, Dean Westhafer has been very ill and it has been necessary for him to take time off for recuperation. It is the sincere hope of every Wooster student that our Dean will be back with us next fall in full capacity to help the col' lege through a challenging year. MISS MACKENZIE oilicially holds the position of Dean of Women at Wooster but she also teaches Adf vanced composition, is the advisor to Pembroke club, and keeps the social calendar running smoothly. ln all capacities she has been pleas' ant and efficient. The girls of Woosf ter wish to express their gratitude to Miss MacKenzie for the ine asf sociation they have known with her. She is leaving Wooster to complete work on her Ph.D. We wish you success and happiness in the com' ing years, Miss MacKenzie. DEAN IQHN BRUERE, or just Dean John as he is known to the students, has carried on the usual duties of Dean of Men and Religion Prof . along with the less usual ones of Navy instructor and correspond' ent to Wooster men in service. He has written hundreds of letters and his picture gallery is witness to the wide field he must cover. The mem' bers of his Religion classes will long remember his dry humor and his vast knowledge of Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. Dean john has become a part of Wooster and its spirit in the seven years he has been here and though someone may take his job, no one will quite be able to ill the gap of his absence.
