Prexyls Greeting Wooster, which now boasts ofa Little Theater and a dramatic fraternity, may well be proud of quickened interest in the very old and very noble dramatic art. One is constantly amazed by student capacity for quick study, extreme versatility, and highly clever acting-at least on the basis of amateur standards. Perhaps the most thrilling spectacle to one who year after year watches the swiftly flowing tides ol' youth is the drama ol' college life itself. On a stage noble and beautiful this four-act play unfolds itself with infinite variety, with zest and color, with fun and pathos. A new set of actors is always crowding the stage entrance, while another group-usually with reluctance, l venture to hope-passes through the exit. This volume is, l understand, to be the story of one year's play. ln after years it will serve to recall the names and scenes, the little tragedies, the comic inter- ludes. the setting ol' the scenery, and the flash of the footlights. As the Little 'lheater itself is part ol' a nation-wide movement, so our Wooster drama has its place in that larger play which men call Life. As l dare to believe. this great Play has a happy ending. So to all who labor on this volume now, or will look back to it later, l wish joy of the labor and eternal happiness when Life's curtain falls. r.'.- 1 I ml f I ' Twenty-three
