Speech 8: Drama The Speech and Drama courses are intended to equip the student to function more effectively in a free society through skillful use of oral communication, and to enable him to participate in and to evaluate the increasingly important part played in our World by the mass media by entertainment, and by Speech as a tool in the transmission of know- ledge. A major in Speech and Drama is offered for those intending to do graduate work in the field, for those planning to teach Speech and Drama on the secondary level, and for those preparing for professional careers in the Speech area.
