Mr. Walters ' Message The academic year 1960-61 has seen many changes in faculty, students and enthusiasm for growth and better- ment, The College of Emporia is em- barking on A Forward Movement To- ward A Better World. A quality edu- cation, both academically and spiritually, is offered to those people who can profit most from higher education. In our present age a college edu- cation has become a necessity. Student enrollments are going to double and The College of Emporia is anxious to do its part to fulfill the needs of our nation, The College stands at the threshold of one of its finest opportunities. Christian Liberal Arts colleges can and will prosper and produce quality people to take their place in modern society. It has been a very rewarding ex- perience being President for the past year - to witness the enthusiasm and zest of students, faculty and staff - to make The College of Emporia the Best. Francis L. Mr, Walters was the thirteenth president of the College.
